Trupa britanica de Dubstep, Grime si Rap, Foreign Beggars, va concerta pentru prima oara in Romania la Space Club Bucuresti pe 23 Octombrie intr-un set up special amenajat pentru spectacol. Da, ne pregatim de un live show spectaculos iar numaratoarea inversa a inceput deja.
Seara se va desfasura pe ritmuri diverse trecand prin filtru subgenuri din Dubstep, Drum&Bass, Old School Jungle, UK Grime si Rap pe un spectru de hituri indragite si piese pline de energie precum “Contact” alaturi de Noisia.
Foreign Beggars sunt recunoscuti in plan international atat pentru colaborarile cu artisti mari precum Björk, Gorillaz, Skinnyman, DJ Vadim sau Lootpack, pentru colaborari in scenele din underground cu nume precum Noisia, Sub Focus, Alix Perez, Flux Pavillion, Excision sau Skism cat si pentru programul incarcat de concerte oferind de fiecare data publicului spectacol printr-un mix fin de cultura, ritmuri diverse si mesaj liric precum si prin prezenta scenica plina de energie.
Din suport fac parte capetenii ale scenelor de Dubstep Electronica atat din Bucuresti cat si din Sofia: Gojira, Skiller(beatbox live), Dropdread, Jamez Bongg, EXo si Bong.

Dupa succesul inregistrat cu albumul de debut, Asylum Speakers(2003, Dented), Foreign Beggars s-au antrenat intr-o cariera activa incununata cu rezultate impresionante precum ‘Best New Act’ la UK Hip-Hop Awards din 2004.

Membrii trupei au colaborat individual cu artisti mari precum Björk, Gorillaz, Skinnyman, DJ Vadim, Lootpack si prestat impreuna in deschidere pentru nume ca Snoop Dogg, Amy Winehouse, Public Enemy, Pharoahe Monch, Iain Brown, Femi Kuti, Mark Ronson, Talib Kweli, Roni Size, Asian Dub Foundation, Pendulum, K’Naan, Wu Tang Clan, Kano, Masta Ace, Herbalizer sau Roots Manuva.

Au tinut in acelasi timp contactul cu scenele vecine din underground colaborand cu nume reprezentative precum Noisia, Sub Focus, Vex’d, Virus Syndicate, Bar9, Excision, Skism, Alix Perez si Flux Pavilion.

. Ultimul album United Colours Of Beggattron scos in Octombrie 2009 inca face valuri, urmand ca luna aceasta sa fie lansat un album de remixuri intitulat Beggattron Remixed Album.

Anul acesta FOREIGN BEGGARS au onorat printre altele scena principala din cadrul festivalului Exit, au prestat la Glastonbury, Dour si “Giles Peterson’s World Wide Festival” oferind de fiecare data publicului spectacol printr-un mix fin de cultura, ritmuri diverse si mesaj liric precum si prin prezenta scenica plina de energie. Totodata reprezentantii Dented Records au mai fost nominalizati si la best European Hip Hop act alaturi de Roots Manuva, Tinie Tempah si Professor Green.

Momentan trupa isi petrece timpul intre concerte si studio pregatind materiale noi pentru 2010/11.

• This year FOREIGN BEGGARS rocked the main stage at Exit festival, performed at Glastonbury, Dour and Giles Peterson’s World Wide Festival(to name a few) further cemented themselves as one of the most diverse and energetic rap outfits from the UK. Blending hip hop, grime, DnB and dubstep to create a live show that smashes you in the face like a wrecking ball.You thought this was over? No, they hit the studio with Noisia, Alix Perez and Flux Pavilion for further collaborative efforts in 2010/11.

In fact, Foreign Beggars have recently been Nominated for best European Hip Hop act alongside Roots Manuva, Tinie Tempah and Professor Green!

History: Foreign Beggars are a critically acclaimed Rap, Grime and Dubstep group based in London. The group consists of MCs Orifice Vulgatron and Metropolis, producer DagNabbit and DJ Nonames. The group have also worked with various beatboxers including Shlomo, MC Zani, Reepsone, THePETEBOX and FaithSFX.

Individually, Foreign Beggars have achieved a range high profile accomplishments. Appearances on Bjork’s ‘Medulla’ album and the Gorillaz single ‘Tomorrow Never Comes’, to remix production for Amp Fiddler, Corinne Bailey Rae and touring the US with James Lavelle’s UNKLE outfit.

Collaborations have included a slew of hip hop heavy weights including Stones Throw’s Oh No, Guilty Simpson, Wildchild and Dudley Perkins. They have also worked with a string of producers supreme; the likes of DJ Vadim, Dabrye, Scratch Perverts, Skinnyman, Task Force and Spain’s Griffi and Tote King. Working closely with other genres has seen them work with Vex’d, Virus Sundicate, Natalie Williams, Noisia and Ram Records’ Sub Focus.

Their long awaited third release ‘United Colours of Beggattron’ dropped back in October ‘09 and has smashed it ever since. A truly genre meshing monster, exactly what you’d expect from one of the underground’s most renowned groups: fresh and experimental hip hop music with a distinctive London twist.

Tony Truand’s video direction for crossover track ‘Contact’ (produced by Drum & Bass allstars Noisia) has racked up over 1m hits on YouTube since November and the track was even picked up by E4 for Skins Series 4. In succesion to that, their track ‘Prove it’ reached no. 2 in the US College radio charts and second single ‘7 figure swagger’ hit no.4 and no.2 respectively in the Beatport and Juno Dubstep/Grime download charts.

Their dynamic live show earned a call up from Prodigy as main support for their January 2010 tour, with the band having already toured internationally from Dubai to Toronto, Shanghai to Sydney. Steadily clocking up over 100 shows a year, every year, every festival, sharing stages with artists including Snoop Dogg, Amy Winehouse, Public Enemy, Ian Brown and De La Soul.

Championed in the UK by BBC Radio 1’s Zane Lowe, Pete Tong and Tim Westwood. Nonames and Orifice are now also into their second year presenting a weekly hip hop and grime show on the BBC Asian Network. Television credits include Channel 4, ITV and MTV, Shlomo live on Jools Holland and Eastenders, and a live broadcast on the BBC from Glastonbury.

Mirizma reprezinta la scara inalta miscarea de Dubstep din Bulgaria. Infiintata de catre EXo(Gheorghi Penkov), Mirizma sustine in primul rand o platforma muzicala dedicata prestatiei experimentale. Labelul este considerat ca si fratele mai mic al H.M.S.U.

Pe 23 veti testa din plin din partea lor o dubla prestatie printr-o selectie ascutita de Dubstep a la maestros Jamez Bongg & EXo precum si live beatboxing cu magnificul showman Skiller.

• Mirizma is one of the leading organizations for dubstep/grime party’s in Bulgaria. Formed by EXo(Gheorghi Penkov) Mirizma is a musical platform for experimental and down tempo performances. The label is nowadays a sister label of H.M.S.U.What you’ll be witnessing on the 23rd on behalf of EXo, Jamez Bongg and Skiller should be markqued by an uniques Dubstep selection and a live beatboxing.

Gojira a debutat pe scena bucuresteana de muzica electronica acum cativa ani alaturi de Kosak. Pe-atunci duoul presta un set variat intre IDM, experimental, techno, electro reusind sa strecoare in selectie si productii proprii. Au prestat live atat la TMbase cat si la AVmotional si Peninsula printre showurile constante, in 2005 marcand un moment important in deschiderea concertului Faithless.

Gojira s-a desprins ulterior intr-o cariera pe cont propriu activand atat ca dj cat si ca producator si-n general ca showman – dovedindu-se indispensabil in scena electronica de partee din Romania.

• Gojira hit the silent electronic music scene as a producer with his friend Kosak a couple of years ago, when making their debut in the Vienna Days in Bucharest” in 2004. The two fuse a wide range of styles from idm and experimental to techno and electro, bringing to the mixer many of their own productions. As a duo, Gojira and Kosak, both in their early twenties, performed live on various occasions among which TMbase 2004, AVmotional or Peninsula Festival, a to reach their musical peak in the opening of Faithless in 2005 and in London in 2006.G & K have also undertaken various projects in cooperation with domestic musicians such as Timpuri Noi and Da Hood, with the first materials signed Gojira & Kosak expected in the very near future. As a Dj Gojira is very well known for being one of the most charismatic dj in Romania playing various styles from electro and techno to break-beat and he played among Adam Freeland, Annie Nightingale, Dj Food, Plump Djs, Stanton Warriors, Slyde, Soul of Man, Ed Solo, Aquasky and Black Sun Empire.
