Few words:
With Dubstep taking legendary proportions and becoming part of our lives, it only came natural for promoter Dropdread to start representing on this side for the home based capital of Romania, Bucharest.
That was back in 2008, when the scene was already reling on producers support and an unknown number of listeneres. Hard to tell, as the scene didnt reach yet a certain stage, and there was only one way to find out: that of bringing together some of the most important intl figures in the scene in front of the romanian public.
Dropdread couldn’t think of anyone else than dubstep/electronica ambasador MARY ANNE HOBBS for this start of a journey, and it was at best, exactly how you can picture it will be.
This totally changed the horisons about parting in Bucharest and opened windows of hope for other promoters too adding a lot to the scene, taking it where it is today.
DUBSTEP POLICE: we know its not one of the most authentic titles existing on the market, but for Dropdread it went hand in hand with the other genre event label in the family, DRUM&BASS POLICE, much more active.
So far so good, we’re sure Dubstep Police its becoming more than something anual, closer to the speed of development as we go.
